ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Setting up raw materials for new production runs.
Setting up and monitoring reels for proper feeding of finished core material.
Monitoring pull-force and speed of machinery, resin, and temperature consistency. Adjusting machinery and materials for proper feeding of raw materials and equipment operation.
Measuring, weighing, and mixing resin materials in conformance with specifications and procedures.
Recording information pertaining to production runs such as weight of material used, length of cable, amount of waste produced, etc.
Observing and being attentive to machinery/equipment operation to detect possible malfunction.
Reading and interpreting gauges, recording measurements, documenting batch measurements, and accurately completing process control logs.
Removing product, machine attachments, and waste material from machinery.
Performing effective shift changeovers by communicating with in-coming line employees as to any previous shift problems/issues.
Recognizing, documenting, and reporting any problems, issues, or discrepancies with core production processes. Report on these daily to Shift Supervisor.
Maintaining quality standards: conducting first piece and line clearance inspections.
Ensuring safety rules are maintained, inspect MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) for proper handling of materials and ensure adherence to this by all team member.
Ensuring all team members follow operating and maintenance instructions for tools/machinery, and utilize relevant manuals for adherence to standard operating procedures.
Complying with safety and operating policies and procedures regarding equipment, materials, and finished goods.
Conducting housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.
Off-loading reels of completed product for Shipping Department.
Implementing and maintaining operational control from the identification of Occupational Health & safety aspects and its risk impacts related to activities in the work area.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to speak and read English effectively.
Candidate possess diploma or bachelor’s in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or related field studies.
Having 3 years manufacturing experience and technical training required
Able to operate various types of forklift and pallet jacks.
Ability to read and interpret gauges and record measurements.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets), operating and maintenance instructions, and any relevant manuals.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Knowledge of raw materials and handling, production procedures, safety procedures and understanding of machine set up instructions.
